I am truly so thankful for AtomicMind’s help throughout my entire application process! I had been extremely stressed and unsure of where to start, but the entire team helped me so much and made the process so easy and even enjoyable at times. My head advisor, Vicky, helped me with every question I had, and through our brainstorming sessions, we were able to work together to create essays that I was proud to submit.

I honestly can’t put into words how thankful I am for AtomicMind. As a first-gen student, going to college seemed like an impossibility, but you made it a reality for me. It has been a true pleasure working with scholarship recipients through the AtomicMind Foundation. One of the students I’ve had the privilege of working with is now bound for Pomona College, a school she didn’t even include in her top five colleges when I first met with her. Alongside managing athletic commitments, an internship, and community service, she applied for Pomona’s fly-in program and was ultimately invited to an all-inclusive weekend trip on campus. This made Pomona her #1 choice, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to have supported her in preparing her Early Decision application to her dream school.
It was incredibly rewarding working with her to highlight her strengths, identify the change she sought to make in the world, and ensure her application aligned with her true self that she could be proud of. She exceeded my expectations throughout the process, and I look back fondly on the opportunity to have supported her through that critical life stage. It motivates me to continue giving back and helping future generations achieve their college dreams.

Amid a particularly rough patch in my college application process, AtomicMind stepped in as a great source of comfort. I recall feeling hopeless after the rejection from my dream college, wondering if there was any point in continuing to write essays for institutions that felt so incredibly out of reach.

I had the chance to work closely with one of our Foundation Scholars who came to AtomicMind with the goal of attending an academically rigorous institution that would allow him to combine his passion for entrepreneurship with a commitment to social impact. He joined our program bringing excellent grades and a long track record of service to his community, where he’d spent years aiding migrant families and asylum seekers, teaching ESL classes after school, and volunteering at the local church.
The AM team focused on elevating the student’s candidacy by helping him secure nationally-recognized awards demonstrating readiness for college-level coursework, start a financial literacy workshop series for teenagers in his neighborhood, and write thoughtful essays that clearly articulated his empathy, sense of civic duty, and intellectual vitality. Last December, he was awarded a $400,000 four-year scholarship to study at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania—the #1 undergraduate business program in the country—where he aims to lay the foundation to one day launch a purpose-driven enterprise that aligns profitability with expanding opportunities for marginalized groups.​
